The operator of the train at the centre of the crash, Transport Minister Jacinta Allan, confirmed the driver had been trained, but said investigators had ruled out foul play.
“It was a very high speed train travelling at over 100km/h and we are very grateful there were no injuries at all.”
Emergency services responded to the station in north Queensland just after 1pm on Thursday and the driver was taken to hospital after being injured in the incident, Ms Allan said.
“There are people who have been injured in collisions and I want them to know that their loved ones are not in any pain, and I want them to know I will do ev바카라erything within my power to ensure the safety and welfare of everybody involved,” she said.
A number of people were taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital, the local emergency department said.
It was not immediately clear if any children or adults on board were injured in the incident.
“As this is yet another example of driver error on the part of the individual, we will do everything possible to identify all the circumstances to ensure that that person responsible is brought to account,” Ms Allan said.
