Cole to face court over prison escape attempt
(11-27) 18:00 PST, 5 July 2015 (EDT) — A fugitive from justice who is wanted in relation to a series of prison escape attempts in Ohio pleaded guilty Friday to one count of theft.
Norman Anderson, who escaped from the Columbus County Jail in October 2013 while incarcerated for a string of break-and-바카라enters, was sentenced Friday to five years of probation, according to a news release from the Ohio Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He also must register as a sex offender.
Anderson pleaded guilty in 2011 to nine counts of breaking and entering for the purpose of receiving and receiving stolen property.
He fled after police found three pieces of a baseball bat and a silver pistol in his underwear.
Investigators linked Anderson to the break-ins with the metal pipe, razor blades, crowbars and brass knuckles.
All seven of the stolen items were recovered by officers, according to prosecutors.
The court was also told that Anderson spent time in and out of custody.
As an adult, Anderson was in state custody until his December 2011 release from prison after serving a year of probation. He was released to live with his family in February 2012.
