Authority backs zoo expansion of protected area, wildlife group urges
The Federal Government must consider expanding the area protected for animals in Australian conservation parks and reserves to make sure they are not lost if they can be replaced by a large, profitable commercial industry, Wildlife Council Australia’s chief executive, David Shearer, has urged.

State and Territory have the power to regulate the expansion

Mr Bailey called on federal Government to act now to protect endangered species and increase conservation success for the state and territory.
“It is very clear that any expansion of a national protected area could be lost in a world of business, but the fact is that the government is already committed to doing that to some extent and yet we are not really working in that dire바카라 게임ction,” Mr Bailey told 7.30.
“One of the things that we are talking about now is the concept of expanding the protected area.
“In fact the state and territory say that under their guidance there are areas which are not currently in a protected area, and that’s a very good start.
“But this is also the position of the Government so we are going to hav바카라 사이트e to go back and work out what are we actually going to do to achieve this goal.”
Mr Bailey said expanding the protected areas in protected areas would not change existing laws and regulations.
“If you’re going to expand a protected area and that means you’re going to be providing jobs, you’ve got to give your staff the freedom to do it,” he said.
“We are not going to go back and legislate on jobs for those who are just doing jobs to supply services and supply services to the community.
“We need to ensure we have a very high standard of living that is just living standards for the community as a whole.
“But what is not going to happen is an over-extension of those areas which are already there, and what we are talking about is the expansion of the area that they already have and the new industry is going to come along.
“That will increase the demand for those animals, it will increase the demand for facilities, it will add jobs to people who will then turn to doing other services.”
